NumberBook? Check any number — without exposing names

Type any Saudi or Gulf number to see whether it is valid, its country, whether it is mobile or landline and the network it came from, with the correct international format and a direct WhatsApp chat link — without exposing the owner's name.

The check runs in your browser only — the number is never sent or stored.

Type a number to see its details here.

This tool doesn't show who owns a number; name databases are built from people's contacts without their consent.

How do I find which network a number belongs to?

Type the number in the box above in any format (05…, +966… or 00966…) and the result appears instantly: whether the number is valid, its country, whether it is mobile or landline, the network that issued it, and its international format ready to copy.

  1. Type the mobile or phone number as you have it, with or without spaces.
  2. If you typed it without a country code, pick the country from the list (Saudi Arabia by default).
  3. Copy the international format, or tap “Start a WhatsApp chat” to message the number without saving it.

Saudi mobile network prefixes

Every Saudi mobile number starts with 05; the next one or two digits tell you which network issued it:

Frequently asked questions

What is NumberBook?

NumberBook is a caller-ID app that shows a name attached to a phone number. Its names come from the contact books its users upload, so your name can appear in it because someone else saved your number — not because you signed up. The Whats Now tool here analyses the number itself only: country, type and the network it came from, with no names at all.

Which network is a 050 number in Saudi Arabia?

050 belongs to STC (Saudi Telecom Company), as do 053 and 055. That is the network that issued the number; the owner may have moved it to another network since.

What are the Mobily and Zain prefixes in Saudi Arabia?

Mobily uses 054 and 056, Zain uses 058 and 059. 0570, 0571 and 0572 are Virgin Mobile, and 0576, 0577 and 0578 are Lebara.

Does the tool show who owns a number?

No. It analyses the number itself only (country, type, original network, format). Caller-ID apps build their name databases from people's contacts without their consent, and we don't use that kind of data.

How do I write a Saudi number in international format?

Drop the leading zero and put +966 in front. For example, 0501234567 becomes +966501234567. That is the format WhatsApp and most systems and online stores expect.

Why might the actual network differ from the result?

Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states allow number portability: people can switch networks and keep their number. The tool shows the network that first issued the number, which is right for most numbers but not always the current one.

What is the difference between an 800 and a 9200 number?

An 800 number is free for the caller; the company pays for the call. A 9200 number is a unified number the caller pays for, used to give a company one number across all regions. Neither can usually be messaged on WhatsApp.

How do I message a number on WhatsApp without saving it?

Check the number here and tap “Start a WhatsApp chat”, or open wa.me followed by the number in international format without the + (e.g. wa.me/966501234567). For a link with a pre-filled message and a QR code, use the WhatsApp link generator.

Is the tool free, and do you store the number?

It is completely free with no sign-up, and the check runs in your browser only: the number is never sent to a server or stored.
